Dr. Lisa Nelson is a University of Massachusetts School of Medicine graduate and completed her residency and internship in family medicine at Boston Medical Center and South Boston Community Health Center. She has worked in private practice family medicine since 2005, and also serves on the faculty of the UMass Medical School and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Physicians. She is director of medical education at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and also serves as medical director of The Nutrition Center. Dr. Nelson integrates lifestyle approaches for prevention and treatment of chronic diseases through changes in diet, exercise, and stress management. Dr. Nelson leads two group medical programs at CHP, "Healthy Eating, Healthy Living" and "Managing Stress During Stressful Times."
