Dr. Bermudez received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. Upon graduating, Dr. Bermudez joined a private practice, and in 2005, moved to the Berkshires with her family. She joined CHP in May 2013. Her areas of practice include pediatric dentistry, root canals, crowns and prosthetics. Dr. Bermudez is fluent in Spanish and is committed to providing quality care for all her patients.
Dr. John W. Brazill is CHP's dental director and he also practices general dentistry at CHP North Adams Dental. He is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. He completed his general practice dental residency at Berkshire Medical Center. In addition to general dentistry, Brazill has expertise in restorative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics and implant prosthetics. As a volunteer, he has worked with the Flying Samaritans, providing dentistry care in Mexico. A dentist for more than 30 years, mostly in the Berkshire area he owned and managed his own practice in Pittsfield for 18 years. More recently he has worked at practices in Pittsfield, Vermont and Williamstown.
Dr. Ankineedu Babu Dasari is a dentist at North Adams Family Dental Center, where he sees patients of all ages. A graduate of Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences in Takkellapadu, India, he earned an MBA in health care administration from University of Findlay, in Findlay, OH. He completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Alexandre Dias is a dentist based at CHP Neighborhood Health Center in Pittsfield. He earned his dental medicine degree from University Vale do Rio Verde in Brazil (UNINCOR). He completed further training in implant and oral surgery, sedation dentistry at CETRO Surgery Training Center in Brazil, and also completed oral and maxillofacial surgery and traumatology training, also at CETRO. He completed an additional Oral Surgery Training and assistance at Oral Surgery And Implants Associates of Greenville, S.C.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at University President Antonio Carlos (FUPAC/UNIPAC) in Brazil and attended Cape Cod Community College for business studies. He has previously worked recently with Alludi Dentistry Aesthetics and Surgery and at Harbor Health Services on Boston’s South Shore. He has also worked as an oral surgeon at Claris Dentistry in Brazil.
A 2019 graduate of the Texas A & M College of Dentistry, Dr. El-Kashef earned her M.S. in medical sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She completed her B.S. in biology and health care studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. She brings to CHP her experience from working in several private dental practices in Texas. Dr. El-Kashef’s continuously seeks out training and professional development in order to remain knowledgeable and current about emerging dental practices and technologies. She is fluent in French, Arabic, Spanish and English and resides in the Albany, N.Y. area.
Dr. Jain Anubhav is a dentist at CHP Neighborhood Dental Center, Pittsfield, providing dental care to adults and children. He is a graduate of Jiwaji University in Madhya Pradesh, India, and went on to earn a master's in public health, specializing epidemiology, from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He also earned a graduate certificate in dental public health from the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, also in Philadelphia. He is fluent in both English and Hindi.
Nina graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Moscow, and is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Massachusetts and New York. She has been involved in community dental projects promoting dental health awareness to school aged children for several years. Education is a priority and her goals are to promote, educate and provide outstanding dental care to each patient. She speaks Russian.
Dr. Kana, is a practicing dentist and associate dental director of CHP, overseeing dental practices in North Adams, Pittsfield and Great Barrington. He received his doctorate of dental surgery at Ovidius University of Constanta in Romania. He first practiced general dentistry in a private practice in Damascus, Syria and also in the Syrian military. On settling in Boston, he worked in both a private practice and at Boston University’s Dental Health Center. He later worked at the Brockton Neighborhood Health Center, DotHouse Health Center in Dorchester, HealthFirst Family Care Center in Fall River and, most recently, Community Health Center of Franklin County. He is fluent in Arabic, Romanian and French.
Ms. King is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her degree from Hudson Valley Community College and has provided dental hygiene care locally for over twenty years. Ms. King’s has extensive experience in dental assisting and is dedicated to providing outstanding dental care to each patient. Her commitment to care is exemplary.
Dr. Shahana Muthirikkulam is a dentist at CHP Neighborhood Dental in Pittsfield. She first practiced general dentistry in India, at clinic settings in Bangalore, Karnataka and Manjeri, Kerala, and completed her general practice dental residency at Berkshire Medical Center's residency program, based at CHP Neighborhood Dental. She earned her dental surgery degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India, with academic distinction. A Berkshire resident, she enjoys baking, hiking, reading and traveling.
Kristabel Vargas joined CHP Family Dental Center in 2008. She graduated in 2006 from Tunxis Community College in Connecticut with an A.S. in Dental Hygiene, and has been practicing dental hygiene since then; she is also certified as a Public Health Hygienist. Ms. Vargas is committed to making a positive impact on oral health, and has a particular interest in treating children and educating parents on good oral hygiene.
Terri Wendell has practiced exceptional dental care in Berkshire County for 25 years. She works side by side with doctors Maitland and Nemser in the dental residency program at the Neighborhood Dental Center. A graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with an Associate Degree in Science in Dental Hygiene, Terri is committed to quality care and her patients’ overall health.
Dr. Taphaphene Young practices dentistry at Great Barrington Family Dental Center. A 2020 graduate of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, she also holds a master's degree in health science degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
She completed her bachelor's degree in psychology and pre-medical studies from at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Tufts, she was a student ambassador and also served as Student National Dental Association Diversity Officer. She was also chapter fundraising officer for the Academy of General Dentistry at Tufts, and, at Spelman College, was president/vice president of the Spelman College chapter of the Pre-Dental Institute.
She has been affiliated with organizations promoting diversity in dentistry, dental mentoring, career development. She is a supporter of Operation Smile. a nonprofit that raises funds for surgery for children with cleft palate conditions.
