Mrs. Garner, clinical nutritionist and wellness educator, has expertise in medical nutrition counseling, with an emphasis on integrative nutrition, program design, and providing practical applications for implementing dietary changes. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in legal studies from St. John’s University. She received a master’s degree in human clinical nutrition from The University of Bridgeport. Mrs. Garner has broad integrative medicine experience from working 14 years at Canyon Ranch, spending time in private practice, working in a substance abuse facility and the Nutrition Center. She currently serves as CHP's Clinical Director of Nutrition.
Julia Jarvis, Senior Nutritionist and Breastfeeding Coordinator at WIC & Family Services, earned her B.S. in Nutrition and Wellness at Framingham State University, with a minor in psychology. She earned her Certified Lactation Counselor certificate through The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice, and uses this to help WIC participants optimize their breastfeeding experience. Ms. Jarvis works with families in Berkshire County who have an increased need for nutrition education and resources. She strives to provide compassionate counseling that focuses on each individual participant; aiming to help families break down what can be perceived as "the mountain of nutrition", to make a healthy lifestyle more exciting and attainable.
Ms. Minor, registered dietician and wellness educator, has expertise in medical nutrition counseling, with a focus on education, fitness and program design. She received a bachelor's degree in behavioral neuroscience from Lehigh University, a bachelor's degree in human nutrition from University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a master's in holistic nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. Ms. Minor has broad wellness experience including in hospice programs, visiting nurse settings, spa settings and private practice.
Nutritionist Erin Pacheco, registered dietician and certified lactation counselor, has special expertise in childhood and adolescent weight management. She earned a B.S. in health studies from Boston University and earned her M.S. in nutrition at the University of Vermont. Ms. Pacheco works with patients in need of wellness support for primary health care as well as more complex medical conditions.
Annie Schwartz, MS, RDN, LDN, is a nutritionist at CHP working at both Lee Family Practice and Great Barrington Health Center. A graduate of Columbia University Teachers College, she holds a master's degree in nutrition and exercise physiology. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology, graduating cum laude, from Skidmore College. She has worked previously with Pyramid Nutrition Services in Pittsfield as a dietitian consultant. Earlier, she worked as a research assistant at the Laurie M. Tisch Center for Food, Education and Policy in New York City. In her dietetian internship with Teachers College, her work spanned medical and hospitality settings, long-term care, sports nutrition and woman's health.
