CHP Neighborhood Health Center in Pittsfield is a comprehensive primary care medical practice in central Berkshire County. Our physicians and nurse practitioners provide preventive and ongoing medical care for patients 18 and older. We welcome all patients and accept most forms of insurance, including MassHealth. Our sliding scale fee schedule, for eligible patients, means that no one is denied access to health care at Neighborhood Health Center.

CHP Neighborhood Health Center | Welcome
At Neighborhood Health Center, our medical staff welcomes all patients. We provide:
- Routine annual physicals
- Evaluation and treatment
- Ongoing care for medical problems
- Comprehensive care for chronic conditions
- Referrals for specialty care and mental health care
- Same day sick visits
- After-hours coverage by a local physician
- Gynecological care/family planning
- Immunizations
- Nutrition and wellness counseling
After Hours Care: We have 24-hour on-call coverage through an answering service. If your call is regarding an appointment, referral, billing or prescription refill, we ask you to call during normal operating hours.
Prescription Refills: Refills require 48 hours’ advance notice during regular office hours. Prescriptions are NOT refilled after hours, on weekends, or holidays. NARCOTICS ARE NOT PRESCRIBED WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT.
Forms: We are happy to fill out physical forms, camp forms, college forms if you have had your yearly physical. Please give the office at least one week to complete and return the forms to you. Otherwise, you may bring them with you at your physical appointment.
Insurance: We are happy to assist patients with insurance enrollment assistance.
Translation Services: CHP offers translation and medical interpreter services.
CHP Neighborhood Health Center Residency Program
CHP Neighborhood Health Center benefits from a long-term relationship with Berkshire Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Resident Practice, accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Under the direction of David Albert, residents in the 3-year program provide continuing care at the CHP Neighborhood Health Center. Your appointment may include a medical resident.
